"I am Spartacus!"

Wow, what a week...

Snow, 80 degree days

Yesterday held a particular first that is worthy of a story.

So yesterday, Adam, Rachel and I went on a climbing tour of campus.

First, we hit Cardwell which, as always, provides a great view of the quad. I think I've got a picture from the roof here during a significant snow a couple years ago. Hmm, guess I don't anymore.

Anyways, after we had a lovely time reminiscing our past years in Manhattan, we make for a new challenge, Willard. As far as I know, none of us had been on Willard. Turns out the attic is almost as cool as the roof. There's a treasure of cool stuff in there. A lot of rooms with cool things.

After room searching, we found the spiral stair case which remarkably looked like Jeff's spiral staircase in his Jardine apartment.

We made it the roof, looked over the edge and spotted another potential challenge, Bluemont. Additionally, Rachel found some "windows" or what have you that gave a spectacular view onto the quad, along with some fancy acoustic properties.

We made our way down Willard, or would have, if we hadn't been trapped on the roof with no means of departure. This came as a surprise to all of us, particularly Adam, who thought I was joking.

We tried to pick the locks with bobby pins, which I was particularly excited about trying. I really need to acquire/make a proper lock pick set. That would have helped our chances.

We were saved by Mr. Briggs, who had returned home and decided to join us.

The four of us decided to go for Seaton next, because of its superior view of the Union and the sundial on thePat Bosco clock tower, which does absolutely NO good way off the ground. The way up is quite a bit more crowded at midnight than at 2am. With some helping hands, we all made it to the top.

**Sidenote**
I searched 'helping hands climbing' in Google Images and this thing popped up. Interesting...

Just to reconfirm a fact, this building is the Holiday Inn. Until last week, I couldn't tell ya whether it was the Holiday Inn, Clarion, or even Doubletree for that matter.

After we descended, the responsible member of our party left and we three guys headed for Anderson and Bluemont, both of which held no new secrets, but yielded intriguing possibilities.

In other news, I've been trying to track down where my official K-State transcript was sent. Friends can't find it, K-State said they sent it.

I'm trying to catch up on the movie classics. Today, I watched Spartacus, which as it turns out, is three hours and sixteen minutes long. I realized its length only after being a quarter of the way through it and finishing it, all the while regretting not spending more time outside.

Either way, I feel like Spartacus, on account of last nights adventures, so I guess it's fitting in some regard.

The birds are trying to nest in our gutters. I'd take that over them flying into our open doorway.
