I take the time to write today for I may not have a lot of time in the days to come.
I start grad school Monday at 8:30a. For those that I haven't told, or haven't read about here, I'm going to grad school for my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. The program in which I'm enrolling is compacted into one-day a week class, 2:30p - 10p, which is helpful for holding down a job, etc.
The only down side as of yet, is the first week schedule. 8:30a - 6p M-W, 8:30a-8:30p U, 9:00a-3:30p F. So in one week from today, I will have completed 5.77% of my grad credit hours.
One of the less commonly known upsides to the program, Panchos is half a mile away. One word, "Texano."
I just reconnected to the online world. Though a welcomed transition to keep in touch with those far and near, I had almost become accustomed to the solidarity. The technological solidarity did however, come with it's drawbacks. Just this evening, I put it this way to a friend:
"I live in a house in the middle of a field. I could drive to the library to get on the internet, but I can't afford the gas because I don't have a job yet, which is why I need to get to a library in the first place."
You see the catch-22.
Exciting note... I found out today, that, despite years of fervent resistance, i can dance...sorta. Let's just say it took a lot of persuasion. Yet, aside from this victory, it was a little too late. Sometimes I can just be so freaking stubborn, like a
